Marketing material in which past employees feature as models using the products are quite eerie if employee turnover has been really, really high.
“This guy’s not there anymore… Neither is this guy… Nor that lady… That guy isn’t there either… Scratch that one too… She hasn’t worked there in years… He quit a while ago…”
If employee turnover is low, then such an idea can be quite virtuous in the long run.
But if it’s sky-high, it’s like a series of Monuments to The Fallen; or a bit like the famous visualization of the gradual attrition of Napoleon Bonaparte’s army while attempting to invade Russia.
