the product in question

One of the best products I’ve ever bought. ASRock Inc. really hit it out of the park with this one.

Powerful, power-efficient, and with plenty of connectivity options.

An effective and efficient beast as the centerpiece server of an SME, by running VMs and LXC containers via Proxmox VE 7.

Only two downsides:

  1. max. RAM capacity is 16 GB (even 8 GB are still plenty for my use) and the QVL for RAM is short.

  2. It’s so efficient that even a 300 W ATX PSU is overkill; and it’s not easy (or cheap) to find a low-power ATX PSU with 80 PLUS Gold certification (in Greece).

Other than that: put this in a mini case, add some storage, and enjoy a server that puts any budget NAS to shame. After I built this mini-server, I retired a QNAP Systems TS-212P.

Whoever was responsible for this product, knew their customers really well.
