Respect for people’s time is the hallmark of a good organization

Wasted money can somehow always be made back again.

People’s time is by definition a scarce, finite, non-renewable resource.

Therefore, wasting people’s time is the biggest insult and injury.

And, by extension, the better organizations are those that strive to not take for granted and waste the most previous resource of everyone in them and around them (members, clients, suppliers).

By yet another extension, wasting everyone’s limited time and energy with hyped-up buzzword-laden initiatives (e.g. Lean) is a serious indication that an organization doesn’t apply on itself what it preaches.
